The Lake Charles lakefront on a clear summer day

Our community

Proudly Southwest Louisiana

We are not a satellite office of a big-city practice. Our doctors and staff live and work here, and we have been caring for our neighbors since 2002.

Home is the whole point.

Southwest Louisiana should not have to drive to Houston or New Orleans for excellent eye care. That belief shapes the decisions we make on Tybee Lane, from the surgical technology we bring to Lake Charles to the way we welcome you at the front desk.

Both of our doctors trained in Louisiana. Dr. Falgoust earned his degree at LSU in Baton Rouge and his medical degree at LSU in New Orleans. Dr. Ardoin earned his medical degree and completed his residency at LSU Health Shreveport. Through hurricane seasons and rebuilding, we have been proud to keep caring for the people of this region.

A tray of boiled crawfish with corn and potatoes

Every face around the table

Spring in Southwest Louisiana means a crawfish boil with family and friends. Cataract surgery and good glasses are really about moments like this: seeing the people you love clearly.

First light on the water

Glare off the water is hard on the eyes. Ask our opticians at Paradise Optical about polarized prescription sunglasses that cut it.

Ducks landing on a marsh at sunrise

Sharp eyes in the blind

Picking out ducks against a gray sky takes good distance vision, and hunting calls for impact-resistant eyewear. LASIK can also mean no more fogged lenses on a cold morning.

From Cowboy Stadium to Death Valley

Whether you bleed purple and gold or McNeese blue and gold, Saturday nights look better in high definition.

Right here in Lake Charles

McNeese is our hometown university, and its students, faculty and Cowboys fans are our neighbors and patients.

Louisiana trained

Both of our doctors are LSU-trained physicians, so we know a thing or two about the view from the stands.

Patients come from all over the region

Families drive in from across Southwest Louisiana and East Texas. If you are coming from out of town, call ahead and we will help you plan your visit. Bring a driver for dilated exams and surgery days.

Ready when you are.

Call the office to schedule an exam or a surgical consultation. New patients are welcome.
